MONTANA DE LA FLOR

You will spend five days in Montana De La Flor, home of one of Honduras’ indigenous people groups – the Tolupanes. It is one of the poorest areas in all of Honduras. You will have the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with the people of the mountian through door – to -door ministry, children’s outreaches, and evangelistic campfires. We will giveaway food and clothes in varios communities and visit some of Love Honduras’ 22 feeding programs. The team will sleep in a community center on the floor in one of the communities in the mountain. The community center has electricity and bathrooms. There is no phone signal or Wifi in the mountain. As you put to work your skills to share the love of Jesus with the Tolupanes, you also will be refreshed.

This trip will be based out of Tegucigalpa. You will stay at the Love Honduras mission house. During the trip you will travel to different colonies in Tegucigalpa and various nearby cities to spread the love of Jesus. Outreaches will include door-to-door evangelism, children’s programs, high school outreaches, evangelistic campfires, working with the people in our shelters, hospital visitations, the red light district, and more. You will go to places and minister to people that are overlooked by others. Not only will Jesus use you to change people’s lives, but also your life will be changed by Jesus.

LA MOSQUITIA

Must be at least 16 years old for this trip and in good physical shape.

Join us on this 10-day adventure in the jungle. La Mosquitia is located in the jungle of Honduras near the border of Nicaragua. It is a 12-hour ride in four-wheel drive trucks and then a three-hour boat ride to a community called Brus Laguanas. There we will sleep on the floor of a church for the week. It is very hot and humid in La Mosquitia. During the week, we will travel by foot or boat to different churches and areas doing outreaches. Our ministry opportunities will include door-to-door evangelism, children’s ministry, school outreaches, evangelistic campfires, youth meetings, church meetings, and more. During our adventure, you will help push back the darkness and advance the Kingdom of God in La Mosquitia.

Join us in Honduras for Boxes of Love this Christmas season.  On this 10-day trip, you will spend most of your time in Montana De La Flor, sharing the love and Joy of Christmas with the people who live there.  We will do community outreaches and campfires at which we distribute Christmas presents to the people who come. While we are in the mountain, we will sleep on the floor of a community center.  In the city, we will also do some Christmas outreaches at our shelters, in the Red Light District, and at one or two church plants.  Join us for this exciting adventure while we share Jesus with everyone we meet, everywhere we go.

** Fine Print Details

• Passports are required for all travelers with at least six months left on their passport before it expires.

• You must fill out an application and pay the registration fee of $75.00 to be considered for any trip.  

•You are responsible for your own plane ticket and travel expenses.  Do not buy your plane ticket until your application has been approved.  When you book your ticket you must arrive and depart from the correct city on the correct day during the hours of 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.  If you are later or early you will have to wait at the airport or pay an extra fee of $50.00 for airport transportation.

• The above prices included your room & board, all your meals, and transportation.  It does not include your airfare, travel expenses, spending money, or personal necessities.  If you have a special diet you are responsible for your extra personal food needs.
